There is a ton of great content on Disney+, the streaming app from the entertainment giant. They have acquired some of the biggest properties in the industry, such as Marvel and Star Wars, among others.
If you are thinking about signing up for Disney+ and don’t know where to start, there are a few shows in particular that will have you ripping through episodes quickly.
The Mandalorian
There are two seasons of this Jon Favreau-directed space western. Set after the fall of the Empire, the show follows a gun-for-hire from an ancient society. There are a lot of old west characteristics and maybe the cutest character in any recent show — The Child aka Grogu aka “Baby Yoda.”
This enthralling show is a hit even if you know nothing about Star Wars. But for fans of the franchise, there are a ton of goodies and easter eggs to enjoy as well.
Agent Carter
Marvel is another of the major selling points to signing up for Disney+. While there is focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, don’t overlook this one.
Peggy Carter of Captain America fame works through the precursor for SHIELD, demonstrating a prowess for administrative work as well as secret missions with Howard Stark, Tony’s father. This is a great connective thread to the MCU that stands out on its own as well.
The Muppet Show
If you aren’t really into Star Wars or superhero movies, there is nothing quite like a classic. That is precisely what the Muppets offer. These big-eyed, colorful puppets have been entertaining fans for decades and now the variety show, which ran from 1976 to 1981, has hit Disney+.
There are a ton of laugh-out-loud gags, musical numbers and even famous guests. With five seasons to enjoy (minus two episodes), you can spend your time binging this classic that your parents would have enjoyed way back in the day. Besides, who doesn’t love Kermit the Frog?
